Successful season for Under 8s

Shildon AFC U8s have enjoyed an excellent season at the Development Centre.

“They are a lovely group of boys that have great potential,” says Secretary, Samantha Russell. “Kian Smith and Danny Rutherford have been amazing goal scorers throughout the season.

“Isaac Hunter is fast on his feet and has proved himself capable of playing in any position. Jack Trowles, Brody Roe and Brandon Mills have been solid in defence.

“Charlie Lambert and Owen Vasey are another two strong and versatile players and Liam Briddick has not only been a great striker but has been the best goalkeeper we have seen at this level.

“Our new player, Danny has quickly slotted in to the team in a recent friendly and all of us can’t wait to see what the new season brings”.
