The Shildon & District Town Crier is one of three popular community newspapers in the Community Newspaper Support CIC portfolio.

The Shildon & District Town Crier is a free community newspaper, written for and about Shildon and its surrounding villages.

The publication is produced by Community Newspaper Support CIC, a not-for-profit company which also publishes two other popular and successful community newspapers: The Bishop Press and The Ferryhill & Chilton Chapter.

Each paper is unique to each town, providing relevant local news, events, and information to residents.

The paper is delivered weekly to every home in the town, and the surrounding villages.

If you have an event coming up, from a fundraising night to a Golden Wedding, contact the Crier team on 01388 775896 or email crier@talk21.com.

You can also leave correspondence in the Shildon Library in an envelope addressed to us, or please feel free to call in to the office on the first floor of the Town Council offices in Civic Hall Square. You will be most welcome.
